I am currently in the role of team manager for a multi-professional staff group catering to the health needs of Adults with Learning Disabilities.
I live in York with my wife, we have grown up children in Durham and Toronto and two very lively grandchildren who we spend a fair amount of time.
I trained as an Occupational Therapist at The Ripon and York St John College in York, qualifying in 1992 and since have worked for local authority and the NHS but mainly the NHS. I have completed over 27 years in Leeds and North Yorkshire NHS community services. Prior to my OT career I served in the Army and was in the Airborne Brigade. I have worked with the homeless in a volunteer role and carry out volunteer activities with the church I attend in York.
In my spare time I enjoy riding out on my motorbike, doing some amateur carpentry, a bit of dancing, going on holiday and just generally enjoying life.
